№ДСТУ 878-93, dated 2/10/1993 12:00:00 AM
Document name: DSTU 878-93
Authority: State Standard of Ukraine
Date of adoption: 1993 (with subsequent amendments and additions)
Brief description:
This document establishes technical conditions for mineral drinking waters in Ukraine. The standard provides requirements for the chemical composition of water, mineralization, classification by the content of basic ions, as well as physicochemical indicators.
The tables of the document determine the permissible ranges of concentrations of hydrocarbonates, sulfates, chlorides, calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium and other trace elements in natural mineral waters of various regions of Ukraine.
Significance of the document:
This standard is the main regulatory act that regulates the quality and classification of mineral waters sold in Ukraine. For enterprises engaged in the extraction and bottling of mineral waters (for example, "Kryvoozersk KSF"), it is a key confirmation that the products meet state requirements for safety and quality.
DSTU 878-93 is a “bible” for all mineral water producers, which guarantees that the water meets the necessary standards and is safe for consumers.
